Winter Games

The 1998 Saskatchewan Winter Games ended as a great success. Games Officials are pleased to announce that a profit of $200,000 has been realized. These funds have been turned over to the Town of Nipawin with the understanding that the money will be used for legacy items to enhance Sports, Recreation and Culture in the area.

"It was a great team effort and a great success story in every way", announced Tim Verklan, Games President, "Together we have set new standards for all games!"

Achieving this bottom line was an effort on both the fundraising and attendance. In addition the effective management from the committee and subcommittee levels assisted greatly in bringing expenses under budget.
