Fund Raising Program for the 1998 Saskatchewan Winter Games

The Provincial Government has demonstrated a great deal of confidence in the Town of Nipawin and its people to host the 1998 Saskatchewan Winter Games.   The selection committee, in choosing Nipawin recognized the unique community spirit.   It is that spirit... that overwhelming pride shown in this community time and time again, that will make the 1998 Saskatchewan Winter Games the best ever!

The plans for the Winter Games are well underway.   The cost to host the Games will be $730,500. Financial support for the Games has been offered by both the Government and private sources.   An active campaign is under way to encourage national corporations, local Saskatchewan companies, businesses, service clubs and individual citizens to become involved.

In order to achieve a balanced budget, we will need everyone's help.   The challenges, opportunities and benefits are tremendous, with the ultimate winners being the community and the participants.   You can be a part of ensuring that this town will enjoy of the benefits of new and enhanced facilities and much-needed equipment.   The task is before us and the challenge is there.
