Let the Games begin!
It's hard to imagine that the Winter Games are almost here, it seems that we just heard the official announcement that Nipawin had been chosen to host the 1998 Saskatchewan Winter Games. What thrilling news it was for the original organizing committee, their months of preparations had paid off.In the next few days, with the opening of the Winter Games, the organizing committee, volunteers and the residents of Nipawin and area will be able to see first hand what they have achieved. Everyone who contributed to the Games in any way should be very proud of what has been accomplished by the greatest town in Saskatchewan.
The pride of this achievement will long be remembered.
Don't be shy!
Anyone who still requires accomodation in Nipawin during the Winter Games should contact the accomodation committee immediately. This committee has put together a Home Stay Program to help house the many visitors who will not be able to secure hotel accomodations. Dont miss seeing your kids or friends compete..... there are lots of Nipawin and area residents who have offered their homes and are waiting to hear from you. Call the Games office at 862-1998 to obtain more information. Kramer Ltd.Let it snow......

That L.P. Miller and Wagner Schools are being used as the Games Villages. They will house the athletes and coaches for the Games week. L.P. Miller will also be home to the Food service area, it is expected that the food service staff will use 15,000 dinner buns, 7,000 breakfast sausages and serve at least 1,000 pounds of lasagna!WOW!!!
